Stores Requisition Management (SRM) for Dynamics AX, or otherwise known as internal requisitions, has been designed to improve the functioning of stores within an organisation.
SRM is used to request, issue, return, replenish, reserve and un-reserve stock and automates the internal requisitions processes. SRM is an extension of the inventory management module within Dynamics AX and allows organisations to reduce costly stock levels. This is done by eliminating manual processes, by eliminating paper trails and by providing complete visibility of internal stock levels, requests, stock issued and costs. Issuing of stock is a key component of SRM and is automated – this means that stock items will automatically be re ordered when stock is low.

Master Resource Planning (MRP) is a key component of AX. SRM is embedded within AX which means that it enhances the functionality of MRP.
Ax SRM reduces buffer inventory by integrating with Dynamics AX supply chain management. This enables updates made in collaborative-planning and inventory-management systems to automatically trigger plan-driven procurement.
