What a year! I cannot believe 2016 is nearing its last few days now. Looking back, it’s been interesting, challenging and very exciting.
Around the world, we saw lots of interesting things happen. 2016 was a leap year, it was the year of the Olympics in Rio, Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his first Oscar, we saw Donald Trump claiming the title of US President and Pokémon Go grew very popular and made users… well, get out and about if you wish… to name but a few big events.
Resolve Immix have also had a very interesting and exciting year and we have just gone from strength to strength. We have grown, we have changed, we have adapted, we have recruited and we have even moved.
So much has happened for us over the course of the last year. Internally we have had a great deal of excitement with gaining several new team members, quite a few of our colleagues have gotten married, some went on diving trips, others travelled extensively continuing our journey of learning and growing, we have seen some who are studying again, colleagues who did well in sporting events and so much more. We really are a bunch of interesting people which means there is always something happening!
So, it’s been an exciting year for us. For most of our team it’s been an exciting year both personally and professionally. On the business front it’s been all systems go!
With the economy being the way it is and then the mining industry suffering the way it has been, it’s become more and more evident how much we can really offer from a mining perspective. Our mining solutions definitively help with efficiency, transparency and making the most of what there is rather than having to acquire new equipment for example. Making assets stretch further has been a big theme over the last year or two and our xMMP (exploration, mining and mineral processing) solution is extremely beneficial.
Our ERP business is growing and we have become very strong in that department. We make it our mission to not just make money but to make business better for our clients. We advise and guide for the good of the customer and we are very proud to say that winning the ERP of the year award was evident of exactly that as our hard work and dedication has paid off.
There was also the launch of Dynamics 365 which has changed the Microsoft product suite as we knew it. Dynamics 365 has combined the capabilities of ERP and CRM to become a much stronger contender and users can pick and choose the modules they need. It’s cost effective and adaptive which makes it very attractive.
All in all, given the state of the economy, business has been good for us. We have added about 15 new customers over the last year. We are so thankful our customers have entrusted us to help them with their businesses.
Amongst all the other exciting things going on, we have also moved. We have grown and we have joined forces and increased our offerings along the way. Growth is good especially if it is steady growth to the benefit of the customer with top experts in our midst. All this growth does however mean that we now need a bigger office space. As of the 9th of December, our new address will be at the Southdowns office park in Centurion.
I think the next year will be a great one with even more changes but it can only get better from here onwards. As they say, change is as good as a holiday! And on that note, we will also be taking a short break. We will be closing on the 23rd of December and will be back in the office on the 3rd of January. We look forward to 2017.
